Resident Support Manager
Purpose:
This position provides overall leadership
for the residential supportive services team at the Hero Addiction Recovery
Program. The Resident Support Manager provides guidance and supervision to a
team of case managers and resident support specialists, with a commitment to
the principles of strength-based, culturally competent and trauma informed
practice. Responsibilities include: administrative oversight and reporting;
training and supervision of staff in providing excellent services to clients.
In addition, the Resident Support Manager will support senior management in the
administration of programs. Frequent communication with program participants,
staff and referral sources will be required. This position may also supervise
program volunteers and students.
Key Accountabilities:
·
Provide supervision, guidance,
coaching and staff development for the team to implement processes and
procedures that assure high quality services and effective use of staff
resources.
·
Meet with staff individually
and as teams to ensure that staff are trained, knowledgeable, and informed on
agency updates, policies, goals, and progress toward goals throughout the year.
·
Ensure implementation of
policies and procedures governing case management, housing, and other
supportive services to promote a cohesive and multidisciplinary approach to
care and treatment of clients.

Ensure implementation of
policies and procedures that establish and maintain a healthy and safe living
environment for persons with co-occurring disorders.
·
Plan, coordinate, assign,
review and assess unit workflow.
·
Ensure appropriate staffing for
the 24/7 residential facility.
·
Participate in program
planning, implementation and coordination to ensure that program goals and
current activities are in compliance with department, accreditation, VA and
Federal/State rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
·
Provides information to
clients, general public, community representatives, and other agencies in order
to explain programs and policies.
·
Prepares statistical and program
evaluation reports.
·
Provide input into work plans
and strategic planning for case management, housing and supportive programs,
assist with implementation of action steps needed to reach identified goals,
monitor unmet needs of clients so as to identify possible program changes.
·
Maintain appropriate client
files and timely documentation of services utilizing assigned software.
·
Provide supervision to work
study students and volunteers to help support case management and other social
services programs.
·
May provide direct case
management services to a limited case load as needed.
·
Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
·
Bachelor’s degree in social work or other human service discipline.
·
Minimum of two years of experience offering direct client contact in a
social service, housing or health service agency or clinic.
·
Minimum of one year experience providing supervision in a social service,
housing or health service agency or clinic.
·
Demonstrated ability to supervise staff and monitor programs.
·
Knowledge of medical, social services and mental health delivery systems.
·
Ability to establish and maintain effective public and working
relationships with diverse populations from a wide range of life circumstances
and backgrounds.
·
Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills, including
client-centered communication and assessment skills.
·
Demonstrated ability to be well-organized, keep clear records and handle
time efficiently.
·
Familiarity with, and commitment to trauma-informed care and a strengths-based
approach to social service.
·
Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict and solve problems

illness, co-occurring disorders and overall wellness, including a minimum of
one year of continuous sobriety if in recovery, from the substance for which
you are in recovery.

by all specific program and Agency procedures, policies, and requirements.
·
