Bilingual Navigator, GrOW

Bilingual (Spanish) Navigator, GrOW (Full-Time/37.5 Hours/Week)

Background:  Greater Omaha Worklab (GrOW) is an initiative of the Greater Omaha Chamber that is providing the next generation of employer benefits in the workplace with a team of on-site GrOW Navigators that help people address the personal hardships that follow them to work.

The GrOW program will help achieve the mission by providing employers with a workplace benefit to offer personalized, immediate, one-on-one assistance when workers need it most. By supporting employees in their efforts to maintain employment, minimize work disruption caused by life circumstances, and gain new skills, we will have more share in the prosperity of our community. 

 

The Chamber is seeking an individual with a bachelor’s degree in a human behavioral related field, Public Administration, or Business field.  Equivalent work experience will be considered.  The successful candidate’s responsibilities include:

  • Resource Navigation – Confidential in-take and assessment of individual employees at member companies and connection to services and community resources to overcome work and life issues that may interfere with their ability to continue their employment.
  • Resource Cultivation and Community Outreach - Build a strong body of knowledge around housing, transportation, food assistance, childcare, health/mental health, career and financial coaching resources. With Support from the team, work to expand the network and variety of resources available to employees.
  • Business Outreach - With Support from the Senior Director and Program Manager, provide information and hold employer meetings as necessary to encourage participation in the program. Develop understanding of member company’s human resources policies, benefit plans, and workforce concerns.
  • Financial Coaching – Work with employees of employer member companies and provide assistance with spending and individual/family financial planning. Develop competency in financial coaching techniques.
  • Data Collection and Reporting - Consistently collect and accurately enter data on service delivery; contribute to developing and administering surveys for program monitoring and evaluation purposes; utilize data to continually improve services and programming; collect and capture qualitative data and employee stories to provide context and deepen understanding to strategic partners. Maintain confidentiality of employee data.
  • Community Networker – Act as liaison to employer/employees and share important information about events and opportunities for involvement in the community at-large.
  • Program Development - Enthusiastically contribute to building the GrOW program and work collaboratively with the Director to champion our mission. Demonstrate a passion for serving our clients and our community.
  • Growth Mindset - Share failures, successes and lessons-learned with a focus on honest assessment and continual improvement

Expected Salary Range: $45,000 - $55,000
