We have an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Software Engineer II to join our team to support our federal programs.

Primary Responsibilities
- The candidate will serve as a project lead in all the task area, including hardware, software, database, and website enhancement and maintenance.
- Develop detail project plans and ensure requirements gathering and tracking using tools like Jira.
- Meet the customer and work on task priorities and timelines and coordinate with other developers to ensure successful completion of the tasks.
- Maintain and update databases in SQL server and enhance databases to normalization as required.
- Ensure software patching (.NET framework upgrade), performance optimization, enhancements, and implement updates for all applications including websites.
- Implement enhancements for the User Interface, create mockup designs and ensure approval prior to any implementations.
- Integrate automated testing using frameworks like karate and streamline manual testing for all releases.
- Develop and manage code and use CI/CD pipeline (packaging software) for all software releases.
- Ensure compliance with MS Manual style, 508 compliance, agency security office, etc. for the application, databases, code, OO principles etc.
- Ensure content management (DNN), maintain software and hardware plans, license management, data recovery, software updates, database updates, etc.
- Integrate the GIS libraries or use tools to process data from multiple systems.
- Lead in implementation strategies for the design, development, testing, and execution of software, database and website functions/features.
- Responsible for the QA across all the task areas.
- Undertake other related projects as required.
Required Skills
- Must have the ability to analyze business requirements, complex technical information and implement software development plan.
Must have ability to work as a programming team lead to enforce software development standards, develop software protocols, provide guidance to the team, and ensure software quality.
Must have strong knowledge in Windows operating systems, .Net platform, programming languages, Object-Oriented software design, multi-tier applications, database design and development, and computer model and algorithm.
• Ability to write code efficiently and manage databases using tools like in VB6.Net/C#, ASP.net, .NET framework, MS SQL Server, HTML, Java Script, CSS, DNN system.
Experience/Qualifications
- Must have at least 15 years of relevant experience in life cycle software design and development.
Education
- Position requires BS/BA degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, IT Management, or similar discipline from an accredited university with 15 years of experience.
Contract/Customer
Travel
- Occasional Travel within US may be involved.
Clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
