CO-TEACHER
About the Role
As a Co-Teacher, you are an essential member of our childcare team, dedicated to creating a nurturing and enriching environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. Your role is multifaceted, encompassing various responsibilities that contribute to the overall well-being and development of the children under our care.
Key Responsibilities
Support in planning weekly activities.
Maintaining a safe and healthy environment for children.
Aid in fostering exceptional communication with parents.
Fulfill in-service and yearly training requirements.
Maintain knowledge of NC Daycare rules and regulations.
Communicate classroom issues to teachers and directors.
Ensure organization and appropriate arrangement of the classroom.
Collaborate with staff to uphold a professional environment.
Assist in visually supervising children.
Help ensure the playground, books, toys, and children's hygiene are well-maintained.
Aid Lead Teacher with her daily classroom activities and responsibilities.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum age of 18 years.
Completion of Early Childhood Credentials 1&2.
Six additional credit hours in early childhood education.
At least six months of experience working with young children.
Eligibility to work with children in the state of North Carolina based on a criminal background check.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and training.
Positive attitude and passion for working with children and families.
Attention to detail and organizational skills for maintaining classroom and materials.
Potential Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in a childcare or educational setting.
Certification or training in early childhood education or related field.
Strong communication skills for interacting with parents, teachers, and staff.
Knowledge of child development principles and best practices.
Familiarity with NC Daycare rules and regulations.
Experience in maintaining a safe and healthy environment for children.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
